During the Diary of Anne Frank there are many factors that shape how she acts, and what she sees or feels, this is also known as her perspective. Anne's perspective in the book also can contribute to the way other people act and how her personality is throughout the story. Her perspective is mostly positive but she has those negative bumps in her life that make it even harder for her to have a positive outlook on whats going on. Some of the negative factors are how she is treated by other people such as, the Van Daan's that moved in with her, Dussel the man who is living with her in her room, and also her personality like the way she acts could be better or worse on her perspective. In the story it states, " Did you ever! This sentence in itself shoes quite clearly how thoroughly forward and pushing she is ". This text that Anne wrote shows just how much she doesn't get along with any of the Daan's. Although she has these negative factors that push the positive ones out of her life she rarely ever shows her reactions to them. Anne's perspective of seeing things is always on the bright side, if something bad happens to her she is always friendly to the people around her that she loves and knows. I couldn't ever imagine being at a young age of thirteen like her and having all these people live with her in such a little place. It would have a huge impact on the way I feel and act around other people because like Anne I wouldn't act like my normal self around people I don't know and I would just feel totally uncomfortable. Anne's world she is used to is no where close to ours, Jews such as her are taken every chance they get to and although she might feel uncomfortable that is definitely and understatement to what she is feeling all the time which is most likely frightened. Anne knows there is really no where to be safe in her town with her family even though try so hard to make her feel that way and with that feeling she drags it on through her life because if she lets go she might get taken away.
Anne's family is very friendly to each other and when they get other people in their little house they contribute to those people's lives to be friendly but sometimes their negativity gets the best of them. When that happens they don't get along that well with the Van Daan's, which are the people that moved in with them because they had no where else to go. Anne's perspective throughout the story is very different because she has so many things that have an impact on her in her life as a Jew. Eventually Anne meets Peter, the Van Daan's son, and after that her perspective of her life has changed because he helps her see things differently. Peter and Anne get along very well but their parents don't and I don't think that can change, just imagine if one of your worst friends or someone you have no connection with just came to join you and live in your house that is already crowded enough. I would automatically be very uncomfortable because I just don't talk to them that much. Anne's life might not be the best way for her to have a positive perspective because she lives in such a different world than us and I couldn't imagine the struggles in life she goes through every day.
As you can see Anne's perspective of life in her story is a very positive way but she has negative perspectives every once in awhile, but who doesn't and as you know from reading in the book that Anne is a lovely girl but who can also be a little to confident. Over confidence can be a factor as to why some negative things toward the people that live with her, that she doesn't know just shoots out of her. All these factors towards Anne's perspective has definitely shaped hr life What do you think Anne's perspective has done to the rest of the people around her or what she has felt towards other people?
At some moments I think that Anne's way of acting has lightened the mood, but at other times people around her could just get annoyed with her and it doesn't really help the situation that they are all in. Anne's personality has defiantly shaped different relationships like with Mrs. Van Dann and Peter. I also think she acts A little bit different around different people, But most people in today's society are a lot like that too.
ReplyDeleteI think that, similarly to Jessica, that how Anne acts has just annoyed pretty much everyone around her. This causes more arguments, especially over Anne, that make her dislike Dussel, Mrs. Van Daan, Mom, and Margot, who are often the one's criticizing her. This kind of makes me wonder if everyone will eventually stop fighting, or that the fighting will always be happening and never stop. What do you guys think?
ReplyDeleteI feel that she is shutting everyone out of her world so eventually everyone will just give up and she will be caught in this bubble of hers. Then when she needs someone they wont want to help which might cause her even more depression, more than she is already in. Anne believes and thinks that everyone is teaming up on her and that they are out to get her but what makes it worse is that she doesn't think about what shes going to say, then all of a sudden she bursts out in anger towards her annex family.
